Wood engraving in benches is performed using our specialist CNC machines for the highest quality wood engraved images & text. As well as looking impressive, a wood engraving offers a lasting reminder for those closest with a favourite quote, phrase, image or just a simple reminder. A wood inscription of your bench will not deteriorate over time and also acts as an anti-theft deterrent.
How much does it cost to engrave words into the wood?
We charge £59.95 per rail to engrave into the wood. We can split the text over 2 lines. Most of our memorial benches have a top rail and a lower rail to further personalise your bench.
We charge £19.95 to engrave our library simple images into a rail.
You can upload your own simple line drawing or silhouette (similar in complexity as our online library of images) for an additional £9.95 bringing the the total cost to £39.90.
More complex images or bespoke images are charged at £49.45 to allow for the additional design time involved.
How many characters can you engrave per rail?
The larger the bench the more characters you can fit on. Each bench is automatically allocated a maximum number of characters for best fit. You can preview your text during the personalisation stage. If for any reason your text exceeds the recommended allowance, please contact the office for advice.
Wood engravings are added to your bench in the product section.
Can I have one line of my text larger than another?
Yes you can. When you have finished personalising your bench, leave details of any formatting requests in the box titled; 'Additional notes regarding your personalisation'
